Smart Copy allows you to copy content from an external USB storage drive, or from a NAS (network attached storage) drive using the Aurender Conductor App. The process for copying from a NAS located on your local area network is detailed below.
Before copying from a NAS to the Aurender using Smart Copy, you will first need to set up a NAS share using the Conductor App as shown in the link below:
- Set Up NAS Share -
Please note, all music playback will be paused during the Smart Copy process, though copy tasks may be paused to play music, and resumed when not listening to music.
First, make sure you have the "Aurender" button selected (1) so that you can browse the internal contents of the Aurender (as opposed to TIDAL or Qobuz, etc.). Next, tap the "Folder" tab (2) to view the list of available storage devices.
Next, select the NAS folder option listed in the Root folder menu (3).
Select the NAS shared folder you wish to copy from (4).
Browse the NAS share folders until you find the contents you wish to copy. You can copy entire folders, or select subfolders or files within an existing folder (5). If you decide to choose a folder at this step, please proceed to step (13).
Select as many folders or files you wish to copy by tapping the checkbox next to the folder or file name (6), then select the "Copy to" text next to the Aurender button (7).
A new window will appear requesting that you select a target folder for the content. You can choose one of the root folders on the internal storage drive of the Aurender by tapping the round checkbox, or select the blank space next to the folder name to select existing subfolders or to create a new folder (8).
As in step (8) above, existing subfolders may be selected to copy content to, or a new folder may be created by tapping the "plus" button at the top right of the window (9).
If you selected the "plus" button in step (9) above, a window will appear allowing you to enter a new folder name (10) and create that folder within the selected subfolder (11).
If you created a new folder, you may now select that folder (12), and when highlighted, tap the "select" button to copy the contents to the target folder (13).
A window will appear to confirm the contents copy to the selected target folder. Tap "Copy" to continue with the process (14).
You can check the status of the copy process by selecting the "Copy Status" option, where you can cancel or pause the copy process.
