1. The XLR connector is a standard used in professional audio equipment, and it typically includes three pins. Please note that the polarity alteration feature described below supports only those models equipped with an XLR connector.
2. When the phase setup is 'Phase+' (PH +), the pins correspond to the U.S. standard:
- GND (Ground)
- +(Hot)
- -(Cold)
If you wish to change the polarity setup to 'Phase-', known as the European standard, the pins will switch, so that pin 2 becomes -(cold), and pin 3 becomes +(hot). This alteration can be made using the Conductor app.
3. Once the Conductor app is open, look for the 'Volume' tab, located at the bottom of the screen.
4. Within the Volume tab, find the 'Phase +' or 'Phase -' button. This control allows you to switch the polarity setup. As depicted below, the 'Phase +' button indicates that the 'Phase +' setting is active, conforming to the U.S. standard. If you wish to adopt the European standard, you'll need to switch to 'Phase-'. Tap on the 'Phase+' (or 'Phase-') button to change it to 'Phase-' (or 'Phase+'). Keep in mind that this will switch the functions of pins 2 and 3 in the XLR connector.
5. Once you tap the button, the button should reflect the change, indicating that the polarity setup has been successfully altered. By following these steps, you can modify the XLR pinout between the U.S. and European standards as per your needs. Remember that this changes the functions of pins 2 and 3, so ensure that your connected equipment is compatible with the selected standard.
