Guide to Connecting ACS from an Aurender Unit

1. Ensure both the Aurender unit and the ACS are on the same network and updated to the latest public version of their respective software. From the Conductor app, connect to your Aurender unit and then tap 'Settings'. Be sure not to connect to the ACS in this step.

2. Tap 'Storage & Library Information' in the 'Settings' menu of the Conductor app to proceed with the setup.

3. In the 'Storage & Library Information' menu, scroll down to find the 'ACS Connection' section. Once located, tap the 'Select an ACS to link' button to proceed.

4. After tapping the 'Select an ACS to link' button, a list of available ACS units will appear in a pop-up section at the bottom of your screen. Choose the ACS unit you wish to connect with. If the ACS is not visible, please ensure that both your Aurender and ACS units are on the same network.

5. Upon selecting an ACS unit, a window will appear indicating that the Aurender is linking to the ACS. Please wait for the next pop-up window to appear, which typically takes less than 30 to 40 seconds.

6. When prompted with a confirmation message about linking your Aurender to the ACS, which outlines the merging of library content and metadata updates, please tap the 'Ok' button to proceed.

7. The linking will be completed shortly. Once it's finished, a note message will appear. Please read this message carefully and then tap the 'OK' button to finalize the process.

8. As mentioned in the Note message, the Aurender unit will begin scanning its content to create a merged database with the ACS. This process can take from a few minutes to several hours, depending on the amount of content. Once the scanning is complete, a 'Library Update' window will appear. You can monitor the progress of the scanning by going to the 'Scanner' section in the 'Storage & Library Information' menu. To find this, scroll up from the 'ACS Connection' section where you initially tried to connect to the ACS in Step 3.

9. Now that the ACS connection and scanning process are complete, you can view the contents of both your Aurender unit and ACS unit through the Conductor app. Simply connect to your Aurender unit(not ACS) using the app to access and enjoy the combined contents of both units.
