Aurender can be used as a UPnP Renderer and selected as a playback device from supported UPnP controller applications such as BubbleUPnP, JPLAY, and mConnect.
This allows playback and queue management to be handled directly from the UPnP controller app, while Aurender functions as the audio renderer.
Enabling UPnP Renderer in Conductor
Open Conductor
Go to Settings > Streaming Services > Network Renderer
Enable Network Renderer
Select your preferred audio output (USB, Coaxial, Analog, etc.)
Depending on your model, additional output configuration may be required.
Examples for Output Configuration
A30
Settings > Audio & Playback > Audio > Audio Output PortVolume tab > Output > (Preferred output)
A1000
Volume tab > Output > (Preferred output)
Selecting Aurender from a UPnP Controller App
Open your preferred UPnP controller app (e.g., BubbleUPnP, JPLAY, mConnect)
Ensure the controller app, media server, and Aurender are connected to the same network
Select the playback device labeled with the Aurender logo and your Aurender’s name
Once selected, all playback control and queue management are handled by the UPnP controller app or media server.
Note
When using UPnP, the Aurender Conductor app is used only for output configuration and does not provide playback control.
Playback Behavior & Limitations
When operating as a UPnP Renderer, the following limitations apply:
Front panel controls are limited to Play / Stop
Shuffle and Loop status are not displayed on the front panel
A1000 Specific Note
The A1000 supports both legacy GCast-based UPnP and SYSO(Aurender) UPnP. As a result, the A1000 may appear twice in UPnP controller apps. SYSO UPnP is displayed with a dedicated Aurender icon
GCast UPnP supports bit-perfect playback up to 96kHz / 24bit (Playback of content above 96kHz may result in noise)
